| My boss where I work, he showed us this video about how global warming will kill us all, but it might in a couple of years yet the way he acts is that the world will end tomorrow? BTW he is where I get all my conspiracy stuff from (and the TV). _________________ Theres always a backup plan. ALWAYS.

| Back in the 70's many people of the scientific community were absolutely convinced that by 1980 or within years of it there would be a new Ice Age. They obviously had evidence to support this, from the global average temperature dropping from 1940-1974 by I think 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit.
Obviously, it didn't happen. I tend to think that we really have absolutely no idea what this planet is doing and guessing on the data we have collected probably has no bearing.
Evidence: http://www.junkscience.com/mar06/Time_AnotherIceAge_June241974.pdf
EDIT: Since when can the Tsara Bomb explode the world inside out? It's a hydrogen bomb with anywhere from a 50 megaton to 100 megaton yield...One was tested back in the early 60s at 50 megatons and it did not explode the world inside out. |

| Ok about the Tsar Bomba its a RDS-220 hydrogen bomb (taken from wiki) , hydrogen bombs cant destroy the world from the inside out, i guess if you could some how manage to get it to the center of the earth, the make it implode like a vacuum bomb, maybe, but since it is a bomb dropped out of a plane, they wouldnt use it for such a task, i mean we have come a long way since 1961, they could utilize the technology to make something far more advanced, and far more effective. Probably a HIT (high-impulse thermobaric weapon). Oh and my thoughts on global warming, the earth will fix it self all in due time.
@_@
{edit} I have done more research into Russian explosive weapons program and found that the have created the worlds largest vacuum bomb explosion, the father of all bombs, Comparing the United States and Russia bombs Indicator USA (МОАВ[9]) Russia (FОАВ[10]) Mass: 8200 kg 7100 kg TNT equivalent: 11 tons ~44 tons Blast radius: 150 m (492 ft) 300 m (984 ft)
These are fairly "small" compared to the Tsar bomba which was a 27 tonne / 50 mega tonnes explosive yield, The original U.S. estimate of the yield was 57 Mt, but since 1991 all Russian sources have stated its yield as 50 Mt. Khrushchev warned in a filmed speech to the Communist parliament of the existence of a 100 Mt bomb (technically the design was capable of this yield). The fireball touched the ground, reached nearly as high as the altitude of the release plane, and was seen and felt 1,000 km away. The heat from the explosion could have caused third degree burns 100 km away from ground zero. The subsequent mushroom cloud was about 60 km high (nearly seven times higher than Mount Everest) and 30–40 km wide. The explosion could be seen and felt in Finland, even breaking windows there. Atmospheric focusing caused blast damage up to 1,000 km away. The seismic shock created by the detonation was measurable even on its third passage around the Earth. Its Richter magnitude was about 5 to 5.25.( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Bomba)
Thats a very big explosion blast radius, but imagine adding fuel-air explosives into the mix, its would probably double in size. Vacuum bomb's are the most deadly "active" bombs , i say active because by the NATO treaty you can only have a certain amount of nukes or w/e and they cant be assembled until needed or something like that , even if you think you are safe under ground you are not, say you are in multiple tunnel bunker, it tunnels fairly deep under ground , well because the heat a vacuum bomb produces , asphyxiation and internal damage can also occur to personnel outside the highest blast effect zone, as a result of the blast wave, the heat, or the following air draw. NATO has given the USA and the UK shit about using these weapons in Afghanistan. heh, theirs my two cents.

| Yeah the russians demonstrated their FOAB (Father of All Bombs) a few months ago not all that long after we showed off our MOAB (Mother of All Bombs) and the FOAB won making it the most powerful non-nuclear bomb. Pretty funny if you ask me, Putin sure had a good time with that I bet.
Oh yea, how's this relate to Global Warming as is the topic name? I don't know, but oh well. |

| I thought MOAB was an acronym for Massive Ordnance Air Blast. _________________

| It does...It's referred to as the Mother of All Bombs though, at least on the show I saw it on...

name's like that are used to remember easier, in t he field of battle you wouldn't or might not have time to say all that, take the humvee for instance,M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, humvee is a lot easier to remember imo. |

| You can't pin point 1 thing us humans are doing and say that it is destroying the earth, it's like saying there are "still rapists on the streets because of beautiful women, SO STOP BEING BEAUTIFUL." Same with the whole emissions thing from cars, there are so many variables that could lead to the ice caps melting.
Short summary, you can't just say that we are to blame. |

| I'm not saying anything for or against global warming.... but...
We have been getting alot more snow and cold weather here than usually and seems that these past few summers have been milder than usual here in inland northern Washington state.
I'm not complaining though... the snowboard seasons have been great _________________ "I know hate is a strong word, thats why I use it when talking about you " - Khoa Bui |
