| Everyone has the right to have their own beliefs, but I'd like do discuss mine with you guys, see what you think about it.
As far as my beliefs go, there is no God, no great power behind the creation of universe, no Satan, no demons, ghosts, whatsoever...
I believe in choice. You shape your own future by making choices. Your choices can affect other people and their futures and vice versa. However, the more influence/power you have over other people, the more your choices will affect them, and vice versa. People like, say, the U.S president can affect the lives of every single citizen on the planet, maybe not right away, but in close future.
Note that I do not use the words fate or destiny, because fate/destiny is actually how the events will happen, SHAPED by people's choices how will they take part in that event. Here's an example. I made a choice to make this thread. You people can make your own choice about will you post or not, and what will your comments be on this topic. A possible event is this thread turning into a total fail because people starting to flame each other. Reason? Not God. Choice. People's choices affect events.
I was raised to be a christian, to believe in God. But I can't, because it simply makes no sense to me that something else can control what I want to do. Sure, sometimes choice is an illusion, it doesn't really matter what you'll do, things will happen how the person that has influence/power over you will want, that's what I mentioned above, the powerful people can make your choices appear as an illusion, a meaningless thing in some situations.
I'm tired, I better see your replies first and then continue. |
