1. What is your real name ?
My real name is Thomas Dunbar.

2. How old are you ?
I am 18 years old.

3. Which time zone you are in ( Ex., EST / PST )
My time zone is EST (Toronto,Canada) although the way my schedule works I am on late at night and early in the day.

4. How many hours a day you can play ?
I play as long as i can fit into my day, this varies from 5 to 11 hours a day

5. How many hours a week (aprox) you can contribute to GM duty ?
I can dedicate 50 hours a week give or take a few.

6. Have you ever been a GM on any other Private servers? (do not say you were GM on your own server)
I have been a Gm on many servers in the past varying in positions in Emulators

7. If Yes , What is the name of the server? (leave blank if you answered NO to question 6)
- I was a GM3 on HSwow Funserver for about 8 months
- I was an admin on Purefraggers where I dealt with the hiring of GMs
- I was a head GM on Macke's Server (5 months)
- I was a gm on wowfusion shortly (1 month)

8. Do you have a good knowledge of GM commands ?
Somewhat, I know them all but it has been a long time since I was a GM
currently I am studying them online to refresh my memory.

9. Do you have a problem with authority ?
I understand that those in a higher position in me have their authority
for a reason and I can trust what they ask of me is needed and has a
just cause. I would answer to any request they give me without showing or having even the slightest of regret.

10. What qualities do you possess that can be beneficial to our server ?
To start off, I have taken many courses in the social sciences ranging from philosophy to sociology, i have a firm understanding of the "player" mentality and how to deal with it accordingly. I understand how to treat people in the way that you hope to be treated back, to do otherwise such as abuse only leads to trouble on both ends. I am dedicated to the server i work for and do everything in my power to uphold its reputation and to further better the general well being of its community. A good relationship between Game Master and player is key to a well functioning server, i hope i can maintain this relationship.

11. Imagine you are GM, and a player asks you to teach him his/her class missing skills, do you teach it? or do you ask her/him to make a ticket?
Usually you shouldnt be near players in a situation where this can happen, tickets are to be done in ticket specified locations. If by chance I come across this situation I would tell the player that they arent the only person who needs help and they should get in line like everyone else.

12. How many times you posted on our forums?
I have posted 40 times on the forums so far, though I am still relatively new to the forum aspect of this community and I hope to continue posting. (I used to have more but some old posts dont exist any more). I do spent alot of time on ventrilo talking to other people on the server and helping anyone who needs it.

13. How many times you voted for us?
I tend to vote at least once a day if i can fit in two I do, Voting gets this server more players, more players is more donations, and more donations makes Rouslans life easier which in turn allows the server to thrive.

14. What is the most important in GM duty?
Gms are on a server to maintain balance and to keep the players in a state of ease. GM's are not on a server to have fun, they are there to allow fun for others, people need help and a GM should be there to help them. A GM's most important aspect should be his or her respect for others, regardless of the persons age, mood, or attitude people will need help.

15 . What is your character name on our server?
I currently use a variety of characters but all are variations of the world Flys (IE Flyz,Flyes,Flyss,Flyzz,Flyshadow)

16. Do you have any experience with Ascent Emulator?
Two of the servers I have worked on ran on the Ascent emulator and I am quite familiar with how it works and its common bugs.

17. Do you have exprience as a gm on Ascent server?
Yes, as stated in question 16, I have over a year of experience as a GM on servers using Ascent as a core.

18. How much is 2 + 2 x 2 = ? (if you answer this question wrong, then your application wont be considered)
[2+2x2=X] Apply BEDMAS so this would be (2x2)+2 = 4+2 = 6
The answer is clearly 6 when following the order of operations.

19. If a player says " I already put points in mortal strike, but i cant learn" , how do you verify if he actualy telling the truth?
I would tell him to get in line if they were not the current ticket I was working on. If he was the current ticket i was working on then i would ask him if he had seen the Skill NPC, if he had then I would ask him to relog, and if the problem persists I would teach him the spell.

20. What is the command to to activate game object? (not spawn)
.go activate (This command is used alot to open doors [Objects])

21. What is the command to change NPC faction to Neutral?
.NPC faction 35

22. What makes you think you are qualified to be a gm on VCN?
I feel that with my past experience on servers and my strong understanding of the VCN community that I am qualified to be a GM on VCN. I have been watching how players react in many different situations as well as how this server is run and I feel that I am ready to play a bigger role in this community. I feel that by aiding the server in everyway possible that the life of both the players, other Gms, and Admins will be easier and thus allow them more time to enjoy what a great server this truely is. I will be there helping people whenever I am available and I only hope that the Administration on this server will allow me to show them what I can contribute to VCN as both a server and a community.

23. Imagine, you see a hacker, you got his name but not his IP or account name, whats your next move?
My next move would be to summon the player to a private location, .paralize them via a macro I used to use on my old servers then use .playerinfo on them to get their account/ip information. The .paralize in my experience was needed often when dealing with speedhackers. When i used to be a GM the command allowed you to type the players name after .playerinfo to get the information but I cannot be sure it is like that still.

24. Some months have 30 days, some months have 31 days, how many months have 28 days?
- If you are asking how many months have at least 28 days it is 12 months.
- If you are asking how many months have exactly it would be 1 month, but February only has exactly 28 days every 3 of 4 years in a cycle the 4th is a leap year in which February has 29 days.

25. Divide 30 by half and add ten. What do you get?
There are multiple solutions
Answer 1
X = 30/2+10
X = 15+10
X = 25
Answer 2
X = (30/15)+10
X = 2+10
X = 12
Answer 3
X = (30/0.5)+10
X = 60+10
X = 70

26. If there are 6 pens and you take away 4,how many do you have?

If i took 4 pens away from someone else then I would have 4 pens.

27. If water going down the drain/toilet goes counter-clockwise in the West Side of New York and clockwise in the Western Illinois, in which direction would a toilet go on the equator?

A toilet cannot move, thus there is no direction in which a toilet would "go" on the equator.

Ive talked with Fly in Vent a few times (well more like listened) and he always helps ppl

He has a lot of experience on other private servers, regardless of their quality.... just because ur a GM on a sucky server doesnt mean it would affect ur skills at what you do...

Overall this dude would be a great addition to the team and i would love to work with him someday Very Happy

Well, after speaking to him on vent for a few days, i didn't even know him, but hes great guy and to the community on ventrillo, playing music in the music channel, and everyone seems to like him so, I hope you get somewhere with your GM applcation.
