V.C.N stands for Vengeful Cosa Nostra

Cosa Nostra was created on March 20th 2006, by Rouslan.

Server was brand new and obviously no population. Server was runing on Mangos at the time.
Few days later , he found few people to play on our server, where most of them are GMs now Smile

Server was runing on Hamachi of Rouslan Home PC. Population of the server was about 5-10 people. As i remember correctly we were using some sort of repack. At that time something new came out called Antrix. Rouslan has right away switched to Antrix, he made few movies on youtube which increased server population to about 40-60 people.

Antrix was a big changed and required knowledge to work with, at that moment Rouslan started to get to know the New EMU and time to time he began improving the server.

On june 2006, Ascent was introduced to the community of private servers, that is when our server started growing. Ascent was a big change , very customised , Rouslan started getting deeper and deeper in technical side of Ascent and its Database. At that moment server was not dedicated and still was on Rouslans Home PC , howerver Hamachi was let go finally.

On october 2007. Rouslan has made his first repack and was nice enough to actualy release his work to public. Cosa Nostra repack was very popular on forums like Ragezone, over 45.000 Downloads and thread was about 100 pages long. Repack was for 2.3 version of WoW.

On December 2007, Rouslan has started to take private online courses in PHP, Html and C ++.
Server started improving day by day.

Starting of 2008, We introduced donations to the server inorder to collect a certain ammount of donations to get a dedicated server.

Cosa Nostra was renamed to V.C.N and server became dedicated thanx to all donations from our members.

On january 2008, our server population increased to 200-300 people and was runing on a stable core with alot of custom content and custom instances, freshly made scripts by Rouslan. Server started growing very fast.

On March 2008, Rouslan had no choice but to upgrade the hardware of the dedicated server inorder to improve performance. Server was upgraded to a better hardware , user cap was increased to 1000 and thats when our server became very popular.

Right now we have 1300+ online during the day and 900+ during the night.

Server now runs on Latest Core and has everything a player could ever want.

We are always improving server performace and will always upgrade if upgrades are needed.

At this moment server V.C.N is in top 4-8 on xtremetop and has a very high population.

We would like to thank all of our members for supporting us and chosing our server as your home.

Big thanx to all of our GMs for beeing with us for such a long period of time .

Enormous Thank you to all staff members of V.C.N you guys are all great. Even thou we are very strict and inforce rules. I want everyone to know that we appreciate all your efforts and dedication to our community, you guys are the best!

Maybe it would be a good move to put this beneath the ''UPGRADES'' Title at the ''portal Page'' so people could see our history and see that were really dedicated with this server? Smile

Ya grats Rouslan uve made it and its hard to do i know it. And there is an Awsome staff and the server is the BEST by far thats why ive donated and i have fun here ill continue donating for sure u guys are awsome

I still remember server named Cosa Nostra Very Happy

. The background was read instead of blue and it had a picture of a guy with a hood and robe...It was awesome...GO COSA NOSTRA cheers

WTB update; we are #9 on xtremetop100, and the server has been upgraded again this month =p
