You can always try to over lay 1 text layer then duplicate and lighten the top of them.
Looks pretty in most cases.
Otherwise there is the multiply way too :p

Dunno about that :s but they sure have a lot of similarities to the style you use through out those you made.
I noticed some of those sigs have the same layer for lighting effects.

yeah, i agree. just blur it and overlay, or use a different font, i mainly use arial on 11 or lower. sometimes i'll use a bolder font like impact if i'm trying to make the text obvious.
